Before the procedure, we will first take x-rays to review the extent of the damage. We will walk you through the procedure, addressing any concerns you may have. We will then numb the area around the tooth with a local anesthetic. For a simple extraction, the tooth will be loosened with forceps and carefully lifted out. For an impacted tooth, we will make a small incision in the gums to carefully lift out the tooth with minimal discomfort.
Not only will a tooth extraction bring immediate relief, but it can also prevent further damage.
During the procedure, you may feel pressure, but since the area is numb, you should not experience any pain. Dr. Ennabi encourages his patients to communicate with him regarding their comfort level, so that he can make any necessary adjustments.
